Baby Shower Gift.....

I was invited to a baby shower that had the theme of "time of day for baby". Bath time, Feeding time, etc. I got Church time....I was stumped...my friend jokingly said I should give her some cheerios, well...I ran with it! I remembered that I had a cute little container for Saige when she was small and I found the same one on Ebay! The book is an activity book that you use with the cheerios!! A box of cheerios and wha-la the joke became reality!!

The finished product. I absolutely love wrapping presents...if I could buy every cute box, ribbon and paper I see I would be in heaven! I talked the local florist into selling me a roll of her cellophane...I LOVE it!

Cute pictures of Jade!

Here are some cute pictures of Jade we took in our front yard...I can't believe my baby is about to graduate from High School. How is that possible?
You can see how deep her dimple is in this pic...she inherited the dimples from my daddy!

We are going to miss her sweet smile so much when she goes off to college.

This was taken in Wiesbaden, I totally want her butt and her hair!!!

Jade's last soccer game....

Today was Jade's last High School soccer game and for that matter, last High School team sport game. She is an amazing athlete and what a career she has had! Year round team sports for 4 years and she still managed to keep her grade point average above a 4.0...she totally makes my head spin! She had some beautiful goals this season and was an awesome captain to her teammates. I'm sure she will take on college sports with the same positive attitude and discipline...she'll begin cross country this fall at BYU....running is her true passion...don't ask me why!!
She turns into the biggest brute out on the field....she scares me!! Girls just bounce off of her when they come in contact!! It's hilarious.

Saige's Spring Chorus Concert

Here are some shots from Saige's concert. The shots on the stage didn't turn out at all, this was the best one we had. The kids sang songs all about freedom and were asked to wear red, white or blue. We also took the pic by her school sign as this is her last year at the elementary school. 5th grade is WAY too early to start middle school, but we can't do anything about that one! She loves to sing just like her big sister!

Jade and Saige's 2008 Dance Recital

Jade's Hip Hop dance....my favorite!

We took these before the recital. They turned out the best!!

This is Jade's modern dance....it was improv, so the dancers had to dance what they felt at that moment.

Saige the "broadsway" star!!

This is a dance from the musical Wicked....Joel didn't get it!!! But, it was good.

Saige during her jazz performance....they used music from Hairspray....very cute!Jade before her first performance. She can't get rid of that "Japanese" pose!!!

Jade and Saige had their huge dance recital Saturday and we had a blast watching them perform. There were three performances during the day and Jade was in all of them. Unfortunately, Jade and I had to miss the last performance which was also Saige's because she had an award banquet for a scholarship she won. Joel stayed with Saige (at her request) and it all worked out! It was a crazy day with 5 changes for Jade and 4 for Saige, but what an awesome experience to see all of their hard work pay off. And they are pretty cute too!

Father and Sons together again!

Joel traveled to the states this spring to get his much needed driver's license and visit the boys. He was very excited to spend some time with Brannon and Kyle. Here are some pictures from their visit.

Handsome boys!!

With Grampy Kyle has some mad skills on the skate board!

Great action shot of Brannon.

Brannon in deep thought!

What a cute little dude Kyle is....

Brothers

Brannon taking it easy at the hotel.

Joel thinks Kyle looks like Jim from The Office in this pic.

Some more pictures of the house for Kelly!!!

Okay, here are some picture of our "infamous" cave room!! We tried to get a shot of the entrance so you can get an idea of how the room is shaped. We recently bought the hounds tooth chairs, an homage to Bear Bryant....well, not really, but Joel likes to think so!!! I've been in love with hounds tooth for as long as I can remember and was totally excited to get these chairs. The room is still a work in progress, but we've dubbed it our "family" room and like to sit in front of the fireplace.

I bought these cubes to put on the wall and Joel nearly had a conniption fit trying to drill into these walls, they are seriously thicker than thick. So this was the alternative.

The Bear Bryant chairs!!!!!

This kitchen desperately needed some TLC, the landlord gave me permission to paint the cabinets because they are going to demo the kitchen when they retire and move back into the house. So, this room became the "makeover" project. I wish I would have taken some "before" pictures, because it's amazing what a little paint can do!

I like roosters, but I've tried to curb my "collection obsession" ways and just have a few here and there. I bought the rooster toile fabric on E-bay and prayed that it would match! It did. The view from the window is probably the best part of this room!

This kitchen is tiny! It's my "one butt" kitchen....I'm not sure why the Germans don't believe in big sinks, ours is the size of a camp trailer sink, but we can deal with it for three years!

The vinyl signs that are so hot right now are way too expensive so I tried to make my own. I just bought the canvas and painted it and then slightly unsuccessfully applied the word!! Crooked is good sometimes, right?!!!

Collections!!

I took a few shots of some of my collections....I tend to go a little overboard when I decide I want to collect something!!

The "B" Collection! I love this little niche in the stairwell....perfect spot for this! Gotta love the stained glass too.

These are old Japanese rice bowls that I snatched up while in Japan. I LOVE them.

Another shot of the bowls.

Joel likes this collection too!! We like to find new clocks that look old!!

This is the latest obsession, it started at Christmas and I loved them too much to put them away. Lanterns are very big here in Germany.
